Gal with the blue dress on

After a hectic couple of weeks, I'm happy to be back to hopefully what will be more regular blog posting. Thank you all for your feedback on my posts, and especially for your support! Though the season is spring, it seems globally that the weather isn't quite matching up - after a few warm months in southern California, it has definitely cooled down a bit; rain (much needed here) and some strong winds.  All in all, I don't mind, so long as the sun is shining and I can still dress up! For this afternoon stroll, I wore two of my very favorite brands - Stop Staring and Secrets in Lace . These companies are each owned by people I greatly admire; who are kind, respectful and passionate about their brand.  I have shot professionally for both, and not only do they each make high-quality, beautiful garments, but it's always a very pleasant experience working with them. For these reasons, you will definitely see a lot of their clothing and lingerie showcased in my

"Look" of the Irish

It's officially that time of year - when we are all just a wee bit more Irish. Whether you are Irish nationally, by heritage, or just an admirer of it's vast and rich culture, there's no doubt it's always good craic to partake in the celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Though it's a fun excuse to dress up in every green garment one could possibly fathom (and get away with), there are many reasons this marks a special holiday.  I won't go into a history lesson on the Patron Saint of Ireland, though I will say that that the Emerald Isle is very near and dear to my heart. Having a dapper husband from Ireland helps, and sure, I've recently learned that I'm a quarter Irish myself, thanks to an Ancestry.com DNA test.  So there's that. So let's get into the outfit details, since that is basically the reason I birthed this blog.  I'm wearing the Pinup Girl Clothing Harley Dress in Olive. This dress has become a personal repeat offend

Pretty in Paris

...the Midnight in Par is dress  by Trashy Diva, that is. While actually being in Paris right now sounds like a dream (I'm grateful to have visited in the past), dressing up in this Parisian inspired frock really elicits that romantic city feeling. Though the weather has been drastically cooler in Southern California this past week or so, this was still a very comfortable wear.  A coat wasn't necessary on this day, but a great piece to compliment this outfit would be a soft ivory cardigan or cream colored swing coat.  This dress is perfect for a day of strolling, and could easily be styled up for a night out.  I took my usual size 4 in this 1940's styled dress, though I have gone up to a size 6 in the past, depending on the fabric. Since this is stretch rayon, there is a bit of room allowance, and the fabric itself feels incredibly luxurious in person.   Now let's move on to what's underneath... because that's just as important.
