It's the most dazzling time of the year...
'Tis the season for having a great many excuses to dress up; gatherings, festivities, or even just a late afternoon stroll to one of my favorite Christmas trees. I decided to start December off with one of my favorites by Trashy Diva; the Candice Gwinn Lena Dress. In my opinion, this is one of their most exquisite collections yet, and I'm sure you can agree.
It's no secret by now that Trashy Diva makes up a great percentage of my wardrobe, though I did recently notice that most are day-dresses (I'm a sucker for their novelty prints). This is one of my first TD "evening" dresses and it's completely striking in person.
Now I say "evening dress" a bit loosely since, honestly, you can wear this whenever and however you please (glamorous grocery shopping, anyone)? This dress is more versatile than say, a ballgown, and it's perfectly placed details are not over the top. Though I do want to point out that with the material being a high-quality ribbed rayon, it doesn't have much extra room allowance to it. I typically wear a size 4, but for this, took a 6; so when shopping this particular style, be sure to size up.
I also want to point out how well-supported this dress is for larger busted gals; which can be difficult to find with halter styles. Not to mention, the gorgeous black beading upon its flattering sweetheart bust-line makes for a great display.
For my make-up I kept it classic and simple, using Urban Decay "F-Bomb" lipstick and Kat Von D's glimmer eyeshadow palette, as well as her new eyebrow pomade in medium brown. All of my accessories are true vintage.
That's it for todays blog post; a whole lot more looks for December will be posted soon, so make sure to subscribe!
Until next time...
